LifeTree Coaching 'Taster'

We have noticed in our consultancy work over the past few years, how central the process of coaching has been to sustainable performance improvement.  As well as carrying out specific assignments as an 'executive coach' to leaders, our consultancy work with individuals and teams has utilised a number of the core skills that master coaches develop.  We are keen to share this learning, and find a way to develop quality coaches throughout Scotland.

We have a number of ideas to develop excellence in coaching, and the first one is our 'coaching taster' workshop on October 20th, where we are inviting selected clients and friends.

The day is aimed at people who have an interest in the coaching approach, and would like to understand and experience a bit more about the subject.  Coaching has real power to leverage performance in the management-‘subordinate’ relationship, but also coaching techniques can be very helpful when functioning without formal ‘authority’ in an advisory or consultative role.  This taster is being developed with a friend of ours, John Bathgate (www.sparra.co.uk), who is an experienced coach and trainer of coaches, and has over 30 years experience in international HR and OD.

The key questions that will be explored during the day will be

What is Coaching?

Where can I go from here?

The day will be participative with exercises and demonstrations illustrating the power and benefits of coaching, and the opportunity to question and explore both theory and practice.
