Coaching Leaders – a multifaceted approach

Stewart is researching what makes effective coaching by exploring various approaches to Coaching. Coming from a practical background, Stewart’s focus is on practical outcomes in his coaching work.

This research is deepening his approach, and developing a rich holistic approach to coaching. He is drawing from a diverse number of backgrounds, approaches and models; from systems thinking, the psychological fields of the person-centred approach, cognitive psychology, family therapy and psychodynamic perspectives and living systems. He is also looking at lessons (where applicable) from sports coaches. He is also reviewing a number of coaching models for effectiveness and exploring the issue of ethics in coaching.
